OpenPATH Board

A whiteboard that stays beside a ChatGPT conversation while a student learns. It keeps the lesson's question or passage, materials, the student's own work, word problems and French practice in view, and keeps them between sessions.

The tutor in ChatGPT puts things on the board and changes them as the lesson goes. The student works on the board directly: she sorts a word problem into Given and Required, writes her steps, or practises French. In voice, the tutor listens to her spoken French and corrects it; the French practice also checks answers she types.

OpenPATH Board is made by Richard Comeau for OpenPATH, a learning program for secondary and university students.
